Stefan Brogren

Archie "Snake" Simpson

Stefan Brogren is a Canadian actor, producer, and director.

He first appeared in Degrassi Junior High. For the first nine seasons of Degrassi: The Next Generation, Simpson was a teacher at Degrassi, specializing in computers and media. He became the new principal in Season 10.

In 1999, Stefan starred in the music video for 'Rock Past It' by London pop-metal band, Scratching Post. Brogren directed "Degrassi Of The Dead," which was broadcast on The-N during Halloween 2007.

The 15 minute webisode depicted several of the Degrassi characters attempting to escape from other characters who had become zombies as a result of eating genetically modified food. The show was followed by a behind-the-scenes/making-of presentation during which he was introduced as the director.

Stefan directed the 2008 special Curse of Degrassi, 2009's Degrassi Goes Hollywood and 2010's Degrassi Takes Manhattan, and several regular episodes beginning in Season 10.

Pat Mastroianni

Joey Jeremiah

Pasquale "Pat" Mastroianni tried out for the Degrassi series when he was thirteen years old, and was subsequently cast as Joey Jeremiah at fourteen. In 1988, Mastroianni won a Gemini Award for Best Continuing Actor in a Supporting Role.

After Degrassi High ended in 1992, Mastroianni had roles in several Canadian productions, including Liberty Street and Music Works.

Though he was quoted as saying in 1998 that there was "very little" chance for a Degrassi sequel, Degrassi: The Next Generation began in 2001, where Mastroianni reprised his role as Joey for five seasons.

He announced on his website that after three seasons of Degrassi Junior High, two more of Degrassi High and five seasons of Degrassi: The Next Generation he is no longer going to portray Joey Jeremiah; he wanted to continue his acting career to pursue other projects
